Mommy & Evie

Evie's newest thing is wanting to sit up and join in whatever the adults are doing. This is one of her favourite spots!

The Learning Machine

We had fun this week trying to take photos for Evie's first passports (UK & US)! Yes, now they require infants to have their own passports, I guess in an attempt to fight the great terrorist threat posed by babies! Anyway, I don't know what they are thinking, but both countries want to have a picture of her facing straight ahead, eyes open and mouth closed! I'm glad my husband is a photographer. I've attached a few of our failed (but cute) attempts.

Sleeping on mommy's lap.

Also, Evie's finally starting to enjoy her play gym (see the photo of her in ecstasy!)and she is even using her feet purposefully to kick the little hanging toys.

Evie and her Tongue

Evie's developed a bit of a fascination with sticking out her tongue all the time!

Art for Evie

Well, Evie has more original art in her room than any baby I know . . . one of the benefits of knowing so many creative people. I've posted photos of two of the pieces she's received:

Mike Gilbert made an incredible butterfly painting (matching her room's theme of course). Mike's done a series of paintings that he finished off by lighting on fire, and this is one of them.

Oliver Poole did a beautiful illustration -- look closely and you'll see the fairies leaving Evie at the bottom of our garden behind our house under a gooseberry bush (that's the English version of being delivered by a stork!)

Evie Wonder

At just shy of 5 weeks old, Evie already makes a million amazing expressions a day. Here are photos of a few of them.
